We had high hopes to bring PTS to you all for the first time but unfortunately missed the mark due to some unforeseen circumstances. We’re so sorry to our PlayStation players. TL DR of what’s happening - There’s an issue with our discovery service for PlayStation that is causing the PlayStation PTS client to point to live servers instead of PTS servers. After hammering at it for several hours and trying all options available to us, we were unfortunately unable to come up with a solution to resolve the error before PTS will end. On the note of console PTS, the team has been at it all day trying to work through the version mismatch issue on PlayStation.
Smite season 8 start date update#
We’ll be sure to update on social media when servers come offline on Monday for PC and Console PTS. The team is in a place where they would like to move forward with our next phase of testing, and having PTS closed to the public will allow us to run through our tests more efficiently, and get things fixed more quickly. That being said this weekend will be the only weekend for Season 8 PTS, and servers will be unavailable starting Monday Jan. Plus, the design team is working on a round of PTS balance changes based on your initial feedback(more news on this in the coming weeks). We’ve still got a lot of work to do, but we’re making great progress thanks in large part to all your testing and reporting. Thanks so much for helping us test Season 8! We’ve had a close eye on this thread and have been tracking all of the issues sent over as well as all your feedback on Season 8 items, balance, and the new Conquest map.
